Aerogel
Overview
Aerogel is a thermal insulation material in the form of a porous solid gel coated on a glass wool mat with very low density and thermal conductivity as the liquid component of the gel is replaced with air.
Aerogel is very porous and has very good thermal insulation properties because their pores are in the nanometer range, and is very light with a porosity of about 95%.
